“HAR HAR MONEY”, ridden by the representative of Macau Apprentice M Cangas in Race 2, “CARL’S STAR”, ridden by the representative of Hong Kong Apprentice K C Ng in Race 5 and “BOY FROM THE BAY”, ridden by the representative of Malaysia Apprentice K Yazid in Race 6 won the “Asian Young Guns Challenge” (Heat 1) ,“Asian Young Guns Challenge” (Heat 2) and “Asian Young Guns Challenge” (Heat 3) respectively.

Before Race 2, Mr. Masahiro Matsuo, JRA, Chief Representative of HK office presented the Best Performance award to the Mafoo of “GAUTENG”. Before Race 5, Ms. Wendy Lio, Consul (Admin/Consular), Consulate-General of the Republic of Singapore, HK (SAR) presented the Best Performance award to the Mafoo of “ORIENTAL FREQUENCY”. Before Race 6, Mr. Paul Tighe, Consul General, Australian Consulate-General, HK (SAR) presented the Best Performance award to the Mafoo of “TWININGOCEANSTARBO”.

After Race 6, Mr Pun Weng Kun, Vice President of Macau Sport Development Board presented trophy to the champion of “2012 Asian Young Guns Challenge” with scoring of 40 points, the representative of Hong Kong Apprentice K C Ng.

Following the presentation ceremony, Mr Thomas Li, Executive Director & Chief Executive of Macau Jockey Club and Mr Lui Siu Mun, Director of Macau Jockey Club presented souvenirs to all young guns participating apprentices.

The Lucky Draw was scheduled after Race 6. Twenty winners were drawn by Mr Lui Siu Mun, Director of Macau Jockey Club and the champion of “2012 Asian Young Guns Challenge”, the representative of Hong Kong Apprentice K C Ng respectively.
