	Introduction :	Former Hong Kong jockey M C Tam came to Macau as the stable supervisor to former MJC trainer D Thompson. He was later promoted to assistant trainer and has worked alongside former MJC trainers G Benson and K K Sin as well as Y C Chan. In the year 2001 he was granted a trainer’s license and was remarkably successful having won the championship with 106 winners. He also won the championship title in 2003/04 with 108 winners. In 2002, he became the first trainer in Macau to have a Macau-trained runner, “Royal Treasure” invited to compete in the Hong Kong International Race (Hong Kong Cup).
