	Introduction :	Former Hong Kong trainer S L Leung was granted a trainer’s license in Macau in 2000. One of his career highlights was his victory of Ka Lam Fortune in the 2007 Macau Derby. Back in 1975, Leung was engaged in training at Cheshire in the United Kingdom. He held the position of assistant trainer to Brian McMahon in Birmingham from 1988 to 1990 following which he joined the Hong Kong Jockey Club as an assistant trainer. He has worked with the stables of Lam Hung Fei, Patrick Biancone and Brian Kan. His training career took off in Hong Kong in 1993 and in his four years in this jurisdiction he had 75 winners, including a total of 9 cup races.
