Introduction : Veteran Y T Lam joined the Macau Trotting Club in 1979 and was a stable lad and trotting driver. After thoroughbred racing was introduced in Macau in 1989, Lam became a stable supervisor and worked along side trainers Jerry Ng and C S Suen. . In 1995 Lam was promoted to assistant trainer, attached to W L Leung. Later he was transferred to the late George Williams’ stable. He was granted a trainer’s license by MJC on 1 January, 2000. His training highlight was winning the qualifying race of Dubai Golden Shaheen with Active Bo Bo in 2001. As such he was the first local trainer to win an overseas race.
