	Introduction :	Veteran Y T Lam Veteran Y T Lam joined the Macau Trotting Club in 1979 and was a stable lad and trotting driver. After thoroughbred racing was introduced in Macau in 1989, Lam became a stable supervisor and worked along side trainers Jerry Ng and C S Suen. . In 1995 Lam was promoted to assistant trainer, attached to W L Leung. Later he was transferred to the late George Williams’ stable. He was granted a trainer’s license by MJC on 1 January, 2000. His training highlight was winning the qualifying race of Dubai Golden Shaheen with Active Bo Bo in 2001. As such he was the first local trainer to win an overseas race. Major achievements in Macau: Chairman’s Challenge Cup 1999/2000 (Active Bo Bo) Directors’ Cup 1999/2000 (Active Bo Bo) Autumn Trophy 2000/2001 (Active Bo Bo) Penang Turf Club Goodwill Cup 2008/2009 (Magnesium Alloy) Summer Trophy (Group 2) 2010/2011 (Super Alloy) Major achievement in Dubai: Qualifying race of Dubai Shaheen: 2000 (Active Bo Bo) T.Pinfield 43-year-old English-born Tim Pinfield was once a jump jockey before he made his move to the US where he worked as Assistant Trainer to Mr. Charlie Whittingham and then Mr. Darrell Vienna. He obtained a full trainer licence in 1997 with the California Horse Racing Board, and enjoyed his first stakes success when Nijinsky’s Passion won the California Breeders’ Champion Stakes in the same year. Big Jag has been Pinfield’s most successful horse, winning the Dubai Golden Shaheen in 2000, and finishing third in both the Breeders’ Cup Sprint and the inaugural running of the Hong Kong Sprint in 1999. In 2002 he moved his training base to Singapore, and amassed a total of 74 winners in six seasons there. In 2008 he returned to the US to train.
