	Introduction :	After initial involvement in the racing industry in his native Malaysia, Joe Lau transferred to Macau and held an assistant trainer’s license for 3 years following which he was granted a trainer's license for the 1993/1994 racing season. Since that day, Joe Lau enjoyed considerable success throughout the years and one of his career highlights was winning the two legs of the inaugural Hong Kong Macau Interport races with Crown’s Gift.
